Systems: Seven Star Praying Mantis
Qixing Tanglang Quan or otherwise known as Seven Star Praying Mantis is based on the movements of a praying mantis. You will find numerous other Praying Mantis family schools, all with different focus points.
The "Seven Star" represents the harmony and interconnectiveness of the seven major body components: Head, Shoulder, Fist, Elbow, Hip, Knee and Foot, during the execution of Seven Star Mantis Boxing techniques.
Qixing Tanglang Quan is characterised by deep stances, distant stepping, sudden long-range leaps and charges and wide, smashing blows. It is very much an external style.
